Is this the beginning?

Having had my sporadic trips to the gym over the last couple of years curtailed by the lock-down, I went and splashed out on a rowing machine and have turned the basement into a home gym

Major downside to that was cleaning out at least three decades worth of dust- even a CV cough had nothing on mine after that.  Still, at least people let me jump the queue at the supermarket  Big Grin

The hope is that having splashed out a load of cash I can guilt trip my own fat lazy arse into actually making use of it, and not being able to go anywhere for a few weeks gives me an ideal opportunity to get into a bit of a routine.

Anyone else started doing something new that might last beyond the next few weeks?

BTW - I'd highly recommend trying out one of the PE with Joe sessions on YouTube to find out just how out of shape you are!  Half an hour of sheer fucking torture.

I keep telling myself I'm going to start doing something and then when I have free time I find it's back to the guitar or the Playstation. I used to spend my lunch break at the gym at work. Now when lunch time rolls around I go to the kitchen and make lunch. The instructor from the gym is offering online classes but you have to pay for them. Last night we got word my wife is probably looking at one more day of work... then that income is gone. I'm a touch worried about money at the moment.

Doesn't stop me from buying whiskey, but the worry is there.
The username Vladimir was far more amusing to me as a Dune fan.  Putin has managed to take the fun out of the name for me though

The frau is now director of development for a uk company. Her role is to expand into first Germany and then emerging markets. So she has about 6 projects in 3 cities at the moment.

Trouble is the uk wing is either ill or furloughed ? (New word for me)

And no-one can travel so she is pretty much the only functioning person in the company completely isolated on the europe side. No architects, designers, mep engineers...

So its weird, she's working 12 hours a day. We are very lucky.
